PSG showed interest in Dean Huijsen, a Real Madrid target this summer, last year as they looked to strengthen their backline. However, the Spanish center-back ultimately joined AFC Bournemouth. If they circle back this summer, they’ll face stiff competition.
Even after signing Willian Pacho, the reigning French champions are still eyeing another center-back in the upcoming window. With Milan Skriniar’s future up in the air, PSG could prioritize a younger option with long-term potential.
According to an earlier report from CaughtOffside, several major clubs — including Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and PSG — have been closely monitoring the 20-year-old.
Huijsen has impressed with his early Premier League performances, quickly earning recognition as one of Europe’s top young defenders. If PSG renew their interest, they’ll be entering a crowded race — and likely facing a hefty fee.
GIVE ME SPORT recently reported that Bournemouth expect Huijsen’s £50 million release clause to be triggered this summer.

On Tuesday, Fabrizio Romano added that Real Madrid have Huijsen, William Saliba and Ibrahima Konaté on their shortlist for a new center-back. Huijsen is said to be keen on a move to Madrid and is waiting to see if the club make their move, while Chelsea and Liverpool continue to push.
Real Madrid still view Saliba as their dream target, but they currently consider his price tag out of reach. Internal discussions are ongoing at the club, with Xabi Alonso involved in the decision-making process.
Chelsea, Liverpool, and Arsenal are ready to meet Huijsen’s release clause and are negotiating with his representatives.

Liverpool are making a strong push to sign Huijsen, with SER Deportivos previously reporting that the newly crowned Premier League champions have already submitted a formal offer for the defender.
Arne Slot’s side are said to have made a concrete proposal, with Huijsen’s Bournemouth contract including a £50 million release clause. The report also notes that Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have all made official moves for the Spanish center back.
Of those clubs, Chelsea are reportedly to be in the best position to complete a deal. SER Deportivos claims the Blues have made Huijsen a top target. Furthermore, they are eager to bring him in ahead of the Club World Cup.
