Arsenal will be aiming to make it two wins out of two in the UEFA Women’s Champions League’s group stage when they face FC Zürich at The Emirates Stadium on Thursday evening.

The Gunners recorded a stunning 5-1 victory at Lyon in their opening group match and Jonas Eidevall’s side are now really well-placed to kick on in Group C.

Ahead of Arsenal’s latest tie, FAWSL Full-Time have been looking at the match facts provided by UEFA. Here are three things that you need to know ahead of The Gunners’ meeting with FC Zürich.

Arsenal have a great home record

Arsenal have lost just one of their last 13 home games in all competitions (W9 D3), that defeat coming against Chelsea in last season’s Vitality Women’s FA Cup. The Gunners have scored four or more goals in six of their last 10 home games in all competitions while they have also kept four clean sheets in their last five. FC Zürich will very much be up against it on Thursday evening.

FC Zürich have won three out of three away

FC Zürich have won each of their three European games outside of Switzerland this season without conceding a goal. The Swiss club defeated both Kí Klaksvík (6-0) and Apollon (1-0) in Cyprus in Round 1 before thrashing Sarajevo 7-0 in Bosnia in the first leg of their Round 2 tie. FC Zürich certainly don’t suffer from travel sickness.

FC Zürich bring back fond memories for The Gunners

Arsenal and FC Zürich have met before in Europe, in 2008, they met in the old UEFA Women’s Cup. On that occasion, the North Londoners won 7-2 in a group fixture. Arsenal captain Kim Little played in that match and helped herself to a hat-trick. Gemma Davison, Kelly Smith and Jayne Ludlow (brace) netted the other goals for The Gunners.

Arsenal’s UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage match against FC Zürich kicks-off at 8pm on Thursday evening.
