Feyenoord have signed Stéphano Carrillo (18) from Santos Laguna. The prolific Mexican youth international has signed in Rotterdam until 2029 and arrives as an exciting sequel to Santi Giménez, who recently left for AC Milan.

The teenager is considered a great prospect back in his homeland, especially given his record with Mexico’s U17 team. In 33 matches he scored no less than 26 goals and also boasts of the CONCACAF U17 Championship Golden Boot in 2023.

Carrillo is reportedly still in Mexico awaiting his residence and work permit, which means he is not yet immediately available to play for Feyenoord. He will travel to Rotterdam and join the team soon. Speaking of the next step in his career, the young striker said:

“A wonderful adventure awaits me on the other side of the ocean and I can’t wait to continue my career in Rotterdam. Feyenoord is doing well in Mexico. I’ve also heard how loyal and passionate the supporters are. I’m going to do everything I can to succeed at Feyenoord too.”
