French giants Olympique Lyonnais have crashed out of the Coupe de France on Wednesday at the hands of fifth-tier side FC Bourgoin-Jallieu in the Round of 32.

Despite the Ligue 1 side dominating the game with 21 shots and 72% possession of the ball, they couldn't get the job done. In fact, they actually were behind before being eliminated on penalties.

Mehdi Moujetzky (21) opened the scoring for the hosts and despite holding on for a bit, Lyon turned things around thanks to goals from Nemanja Matić and Georges Mikautadze.

But then Moujetzky popped up immediately after the visitors grabbed the lead to turn things 2-2 for Bourgoin-Jallieu.

More drama ensued from spot kicks when big-name stars Alexandre Lacazette and Corentin Tolisso both missed their spot kicks.

The fifth-tier side, meanwhile, remained composed enough to win things 4-2.

It was the first time Lyon were eliminated in the Coupe de France by a team not playing in one of France's top four divisions in the club's history.
