Five Serie A clubs are rumoured to be interested in a deal with Napoli to sign winger Cyril Ngonge, who is currently out of favour under Antonio Conte at the Stadio Maradona.

Ngonge was the most expensive Serie A signing in the last January transfer window in 2024, but has struggled to cement a place as a starter in the Partenopei line-up since then.

Napoli endured a rollercoaster season in 2023-24, and following Conte’s arrival over the summer, Ngonge has had to settle for just one Serie A start and six further league appearances off the bench.

It is understood that Napoli are open to selling him a year after his arrival in order to raise funds for further additions this month.

According to reports from Calciomercato.com, five Serie A clubs have expressed some form of interest in signing Ngonge from Napoli this month.

Among them is Lazio, who have reportedly explored the idea of a potential player-plus-cash exchange, which would involve Gustav Isaksen moving in the other direction, but that is a proposal that has not tempted Napoli.

Bologna and Fiorentina are also interested according to Thursday’s report. The Rossoblu have reportedly offered to take Ngonge on loan at a cost of €1m, with an option to buy for €12m, but Napoli would prefer to sell him outright and are pushing for a fee closer to the €19m that they spent on him last year.

There have also been suggestions that Como are interested in a deal for Ngonge, but there have been no official offers as of yet.

Calciomercato.com report that Milan director Geoffrey Moncada met with the player’s agent earlier in the window to discuss the possibility of a move, but the Rossoneri are also only interested in a loan deal and only if Samuel Chukwueze leaves the club this month.
