To commemorate Flamengo’s eight Brazilian title, the Rubro-Negro will face Macaé on Saturday sporting very special uniforms.
To make the tribute possible, Flamengo’s master sponsor, Banco BRB, gave up the space on the shirt they are entitled to and will have their brand on the sleeves instead.
The shirt will be sold on the club’s website and in stores, but Flamengo have made it certain that there will only be 1,000 of these shirts produced.
In other news, newly-promoted Cuiabá agreed to the loan signing of the right-back João Lucas for the 2021 season. Flamengo, in turn, will extend his existing contract until the end of 2022.
Flamengo youth goalkeeper Pedro Caracoci has also been loaned out to Serie B outfit CSA. Caracoci had a lot of success with the U-20s following Hugo Souza’s very successful call-up to the Flamengo first-team squad.
