Standard Liege have announced that 24-year-old Croatian central defender Bosko Sutalo has signed a deal with the club until 2029. Sutalo joins after his contract with Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb expired at the end of the 2023/2024 season. He will fill an void left by a number of departures in central defence for Standard already this summer as the club look to rebuild on a limited budget.

Sutalo once cost Atalanta €4m back in the winter window of 2019/2020, moving from Croatian side NK Osijek. During his time in Serie A he spent the 2021/2022 season on loan at Hellas Verona. Sutalo only made 16 appearances for Atalanta and a further 25 on loan at Hellas Verona before being sold back to Croatia. Dinamo Zagreb spent around €4m to bring him back to the country, where he went on to make 27 appearances and score on goal over the past two seasons.
