Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that Isaac Price is set to move to West Brom in the EFL Championship. The 21-year-old former Everton youngster is set to travel to England on Monday to complete his medical. His current side Standard Liege are set to earn around €2m for the 21-year-old Northern Irish international.
Price joined Standard Liege back in the summer of 2023 on a free. He left Premier League side Everton at the end of his contract in order to play more first team football. He certainly achieved this in Belgium. During his first season with Standard he played 39 times, scoring once and providing two assists. This season already Price has played 24 games and has looked like he is progressing well.
For Standard, this is a sign that their decision to try and sign young players looking for first team football has paid off. The club are in need of increased financial income and selling a player they signed for free for a few million Euros should be seen as a good deal.
