After coming through the NAC Breda academy and spending three seasons with the senior team, Boris van Schuppen left the side in the summer. He remained in the Dutch second tier while NAC moved to the Eredivisie, signing a deal with FC Eindhoven. In 58 games for NAC, van Schuppen scored six goals and six assists. All of these came during his first season with the senior side in 2021/2022. In just 28 games for FC Eindhoven, the 23-year-old has already surpassed these numbers.

Over the weekend, van Schuppen grabbed his ninth goal of the season as his side drew 2-2 with Helmond Sport. Alongside these nine goals the attacker has also provided 10 assists, putting him second in the assist charts behind FC Volendam’s Bilal Ould-Chikh. In the summer the former NAC man signed a deal until the summer of 2025, although FC Eindhoven did include an option for an extra season. Transfermarkt values the player at only €400k, but it is likely that the club would want to receive more than this. There will certainly be Eredivisie sides interested in van Schuppen over the summer if he continues to perform at this level.
