Forward Dean to leave Southampton | OneFootball

Southampton forward Rianna Dean has announced the news that she is leaving the club this summer.

The player took to her personal X account to announce her St Mary’s exit earlier today.

Dean joined Southampton after leaving former club Crystal Palace in summer 2023. The player has gone on to score nine goals in 19 appearances for the club in the Barclays Women’s Championship. With the season having now come to an end, Dean has made the decision to opt for a new challenge in 2025/2026.

Announcing her departure, Dean said “After a period of reflection, it’s time for me to move on and start a new chapter in my football journey and that means I’ll be leaving Southampton.

“I want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone at the club – the staff, my teammates and the incredible fans – for welcoming me so warmly and for supporting me through every high and low.

“It’s been a privilege to wear the shirt and represent this club. I’ve learnt a lot, shared some memorable moments and I’ll always be grateful for my time here.

“I’m excited for what the future holds — on and off the pitch. Thank you, Southampton.”

Dean is the first player to be leaving Southampton this summer.
