LOSC Lille star Jonathan David has set his sights firmly on a move to Spain, with Barcelona.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Thursday provided an insight into the situation.

Frontman David, for his part, is a man in-demand with a view to next season.

As much comes with the Canadian international, who has long stood as one of the premiere goalscorers in French football, set to see his terms with Lille come to a close.

David, in turn, is understood to have made his way onto the wishlists of a number of leading clubs from across the continent.

As per a report from the aforementioned Mundo Deportivo, though, the 24-year-old has already set his sights on one specific landing spot.

The club in question? Barcelona.

Amid their ongoing search for a backup to and eventual long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski, the brass at the Camp Nou are understood to have earmarked David as a leading option.

And the interest in a joining of forces, it would appear, is very much mutual:

‘The Canadian international is wanted by PSG, but the player has the dream of wearing the Barça shirt and is willing to wait for the Barça club.’
