Beppe Marotta has brought success to Inter Milan partly by instituting a “Juventus model” at the club since his arrival.
This is the view in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
It would be impossible to overstate the influence that Beppe Marotta has had on the growth of this current Inter team.
The veteran executive has been at the club since 2018. Initially, he became Inter’s CEO of Sport. Then, last May, Marotta became Nerazzurri President in addition to that.
And since Marotta’s arrival, Inter have been a force to be reckoned with.
The Nerazzurri have won the Serie A title twice, the Coppa Italia twice, and the Supercoppa Italiana on three occasions.
Meanwhile, Inter have also reached the Champions League and Europa League finals.
Prior to his successful spell at Inter, Beppe Marotta had spent nearly a decade with their Derby d’Italia rivals Juventus.
And it was with the Bianconeri that Marotta really found the formula for dominance in Italian football.

Juventus went on a run of Serie A title victories under Marotta’s guidance. They also reached the Champions League final twice.
While there was a lot of rebuilding of the squad over that time, there was also a “hard core” of players. Particularly Italian players.
And that has also been seen at Inter. The likes of Nicolo Barella, Federico Dimarco, and Alessandro Bastoni have formed the core of the team.
But Marotta has also built a very deep squad at Inter. Partly, he has achieved this by navigating the dressing room politics of having players rotate and all receive playing time.
Lastly, the choice of coach has certainly been significant.
In the summer of 2019, Marotta brought Antonio Conte to Inter. That was the coach who first won him a Serie A title at Juventus. And he did the same at the Nerazzurri.
Then, Simone Inzaghi’s arrival as Conte’s replacement has heralded a more long-term Inter project.
