Roma are making a serious push to bring in Carlo Ancelotti as their next head coach, signaling their intent to rejuvenate the club after a turbulent season.

Following a campaign marked by instability, with three different coaches—Daniele De Rossi, Ivan Juric, and Claudio Ranieri—at the helm, and their Champions League hopes slipping away, Roma are now looking for a high-profile leader to steer their long-term project.

Much like their bold move in 2021 to appoint José Mourinho, the Giallorossi are targeting another coach of international stature. This time, the priority is Carlo Ancelotti.

According to AS, Roma’s owners, Dan and Ryan Friedkin, are personally leading the efforts to convince Ancelotti with a substantial offer, combining financial incentives with an ambitious sporting plan designed to restore the club’s place among Europe’s elite.

A key factor in Roma’s pursuit is Ancelotti’s deep connection to the club. The Italian tactician spent eight years at Roma as a player from 1979 to 1987, making 227 appearances and scoring 17 goals. During that time, he helped the club win four Coppa Italia titles and a historic Serie A championship.

However, securing Ancelotti’s signature won’t be easy. The current Real Madrid boss is keen to continue his tenure at the Bernabéu and has already turned down an offer from the Brazilian national team. His future at Madrid largely depends on the club’s performance this season and the decisions of president Florentino Pérez.

Despite the challenges, Roma have already initiated contact and remain determined to bring Ancelotti back to the Stadio Olimpico. The Giallorossi continue to dream of Carletto’s triumphant return, hoping he can be the key to building a winning team and a successful future.
