The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Meanwhile, Nuno Espirito Santo saw his much-changed side win on penalties at Exeter in the FA Cup during midweek but the Nottingham Forest manager has reverted back to the team that demolished Brighton 7-0 a fortnight ago with Callum Hudson-Odoi named among the substitutes after recovering from a groin injury. Since the start of last season, only Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson of Chelsea (12) have combined for more Premier League goals than Nottingham Forest’s Chris Wood and Anthony Elanga (11), with Elanga’s 10 assists for Wood the most for a specific player in that time.

Willian makes his return to the Premier League as Fulham revert to the same team that won 2-1 at Newcastle a fortnight ago. The former Chelsea and Arsenal forward is on the bench for the first time in a league fixture after re-joining the club in January, while Raul Jimenez starts up front with Emile Smith Rowe just behind him. Jimenez is one goal away from reaching double figures in a Premier League campaign for the first time since 2019-20 at Wolves (17), managed then by Nuno Espirito Santo. The Mexican has scored three goals in his two previous Premier League games against Nottingham Forest.

Meanwhile, after just avoiding a massive FA Cup shock on Tuesday, Nottingham Forest turn their attention back to their Champions League chase. Nuno Espirito Santo's side overcame third-tier Exeter City on penalties after a nervy 2-2 draw in the fourth round of the cup and the Garibaldis will be hoping to continue their impressive league form following the 7-0 demolition of Brighton at the City Ground a fortnight ago. Forest have not featured in UEFA competition since 1996, but with eight European spots up for grabs, they're on course to end that exile, potentially getting into the Champions League against all the odds.
