Aston Villa are winless in the WSL so far this season, and they are facing a Manchester City side who would go top of the table with a win against them today.
Gareth Taylor’s side dominated the play as expected in the opening period of the game, but lacked some of the dynamic play they’ve shown so far this season.

And Aston Villa were able to shock the home side with a quick-counter attack after 20 minutes, and it was Gabi Nunes who supplied the finish after some hard graft from Kirsty Hanson on the left wing.
Nunes arrived from Levante in the summer, and that was her first goal for the Midlands club.
Could this be the first of many for the Brazilian international?
