Galatasaray keen on Empoli’s Saba Goglichidze | OneFootball

Turkish giants Galatasaray are no strangers to hunting for players in Serie A and they are now keen on Empoli’s Saba Goglichidze.

The Georgian was close to joining Roma on deadline day but the move didn’t go through, as the Giallorossi signed Victor Nelsson from Galatasaray.

Gianluca di Marzio has now reported that Gala are now trying to sign the player who Roma initially wanted instead of Nelsson – Goglichidze.

They have already made an initial offer and Galatasaray wanted the centre-back in a permanent deal. That has been rejected – as have attempts from other clubs in the last few weeks. There is still a chance that the Turkish giants could come forward with another attempt as they look to replace Nelsson at the back.

There was contact between the two clubs, with the transfer window in Turkey to close later this month and that is why Gala can still sign players.
