AC Milan made it four wins in five as they came from behind against Genoa to win 2-1 at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Monday night.
Things were looking bleak for Milan when Vitinha volleyed the home side in front in the second half, but the Rossoneri scored twice in less than three minutes through Rafael Leao and an own-goal to complete the comeback and secure the win.
While it is a victory that does not mean the world in terms of the Serie A standings, it was yet another show of the spirit that the team have. Below is how the Italian newspapers have covered the game.
La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Milan, luckily there’s Leao. Rafa is in shape for the cup: Genoa turned upside down in two minutes (1-2).”
Corriere dello Sport: “Leao changes Milan’s gears. Vitinha scores, then Rafa and Frendrup’s own goal decides. Comeback win at the Marassi.”
Tuttosport: “Give Milan a minute. Vitinha scores, then Leao and Frendrup’s own-goal in 60 seconds: 2-1, good test for the Coppa Italia final.”
