Sergio Conceicao is determined to continue his time at AC Milan as it started: successfully. This means that his preparation for this weekend’s Serie A fixture is as intense, if not more.

After winning the Supercoppa, Milan and Conceicao are keen to ensure that standards remain high, and this means that every detail is being paid attention to religiously with the Portuguese already implementing his strict regime.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News), the coach has requested ‘maximum seriousness, application and professionalism’ on the pitch as well as off of it. To ensure that this is being stuck to, he has already made some alterations to things at Milanello.

Every morning, each player is now weighed before they sit down for breakfast, with the coach seeing physical fitness and nutrition as pivotal to any success. In fact, these are the minimum requirements for these athletes, and he will not hear any excuses.

Additionally, the coach has enforced a rule that requires the players to stay at Milanello until at least 2 pm every day, and this is done even if there is no double training session or if they train in the morning.

Certainly a strict set of guidelines already, but these are the changes that can take a struggling top team to a performing one.
