Getafe to secure Álex Sancris signing in January | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Getafe are expected to seal the signing of Álex Sancris from Burgos during the winter transfer window.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing Diario AS, who have on Friday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes at the Estadio Coliseum.

The Getafe brass have long been on the lookout for reinforcements with a view to the 2nd half of the campaign.

As much comes amid what has proven a challenging season to date, leaving the Azulones just a solitary point clear of the drop zone as things stand.

The attacking ranks in José Bordalás’ squad are considered as being in particular need of fresh blood, with Getafe having managed a La Liga-worst 11 goals scored to date.

And, if the latest word stemming from the media on Friday is anythig to go by, then reinforcements look set to arrive imminently, in the form of Álex Sancris.

As per MD:

‘Álex Sancris is set to be a winter signing for Getafe, who have already made an official offer to sign him in January, according to the newspaper AS.’

Sancris, or Alejandro San Cristóbal Sánchez, to give him his full name, is a 27-year-old winger, who has stood out as one of the best performers in Spain’s 2nd tier this season.

All told, in 20 appearances across all competitions in 2024/25, he has racked up five goals and five assists.
