Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski remains in the hunt for the European Golden Boot after adding to his tally once more over the weekend.
The Pole was afforded his latest La Liga start on Sunday, as Barcelona played host to Real Sociedad. And, en route to an eventual 4-0 rout, Lewandowski rounded out the scoring during the 2nd-half.
All told, the former Bayern Munich man has in turn found the net on 21 occasions in league play in 2024/25.
This is good enough for a place in joint-2nd, when it comes to the ongoing race for the European Golden Boot.
Lewandowski is joined by both Bayern frontman Harry Kane, and Atalanta standout Mateo Retegui, on 21 league goals for the season.
The clear frontrunner for the award, though, remains Liverpool standout Mohamed Salah.
Amid nothing short of a sensational campaign to date for the Egyptian, Salah has directly contributed to 52 goals across all competitions, with 25 of his strikes having come in the Premier League.
