Hansi Flick calls up 19-year-old Barcelona quarry midfielder to train with the first-team ahead of Sevilla clash | OneFootball

While awaiting the return of their internationals, FC Barcelona continue training with the available first-team players, along with several youngsters called up from the club’s youth ranks.

There were some interesting highlights from today’s training session at the club. The most notable aspect of this session was the return of Dani Olmo, who had been recovering from an injury for more than a month.

The Spaniard had already proven himself to be a valuable asset for Hansi Flick in the limited time he had on the pitch before his setback.

Similarly, Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski also participated in this training session, and this is a particularly relieving sign for FC Barcelona fans as both of these players had returned to Barcelona with some physical problems from their respective national team camps.

As SPORT has reported, another surprise in this training session was the presence of the Barcelona Atletic midfielder and captain, Unai Hernandez, who was called up by Flick to complete the session.

The youngster has been an undisputed starter for Albert Sanchez this season, and he has justified this status by scoring three goals with the quarry up to now.

, but the 19-year-old midfield gem is yet to make his debut with the first team.

He joined Flick’s team for the pre-season tour of the United States of America but was unable to show off his talent because of an intestinal virus that significantly weakened him.

Now it remains to be seen whether Hansi Flick will call him up for the upcoming sessions on Friday and Saturday and whether he will make the squad list for Sunday’s game. If selected, it would be his first inclusion in the squad this season.
