Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick considers one member of his defensive ranks to be nothing short of ‘untouchable’.
That’s according to Relevo, who highlight Pau Cubarsí as the player in question.
Stopper Cubarsí has for his part of course enjoyed a stellar campaign to date.
Continuing to build on his reputation as one of the standout young talents in world football, the Spaniard has stood as a near ever-present in Barcelona’s backline.
Cubarsí has formed an impressive partnership with veteran Iñigo Martínez, with whom the 18-year-old shares an excellent relationship on the pitch.
So much so that the youngster is now considered nothing short of irreplaceable by headmaster Hansi Flick.
As per a report from Relevo:
‘Pau Cubarsí is untouchable’ in Barcelona’s defence.
Cubarsí, for his part, saw out the full 90 minutes once more on Tuesday night, as Barca were responsible for a Champions League comeback for the ages.
After finding themselves in a two-goal hole inside the closing 15 minutes of a meeting with Benfica, the Blaugrana rattled off a trio of late goals to ultimately emerge on the right side of a 5-4 result.
