Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has provided an update on the wellbeing of star striker Robert Lewandowski.
This comes after the Pole was forced into a premature departure from the club’s meeting with Celta Vigo.
Barcelona were of course back in action a short time ago, welcoming Celta to Catalunya’s capital with sights on extending their advantage atop the La Liga table.
When all was said and done in a pulsating seven-goal affair, the Blaugrana managed precisely as much, courtesy of a remarkable comeback triumph.
After falling behind by three goals to one during the 2nd-half, Flick’s troops showcased their never-say-die attitude once more, thanking Man of the Match Raphinha for an eventual 4-3 victory.
As alluded to above, though, on an otherwise positive day’s work for Barca on Saturday, one source of concern was also forthcoming on the personnel front.
As much came late on at Montjuïc, upon Robert Lewandowski going to ground clutching his hamstring, before limping from the field of play.
Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle, the subject of Lewandowski’s fitness was in turn put to boss Hansi Flick.
And the German went on to explain:
“Lewandowski will have an MRI tomorrow. We have to wait for the results. Then we’ll know more about his injury.”
