Hansi Flick reacts to speculation linking Neymar to Barcelona return | OneFootball

The last few days have seen FC Barcelona being strongly linked with one of their biggest stars in recent history, i.e., Neymar Junior.

Since the Brazilian star’s return to his home country with Santos, he has been showing a significant improvement in his performances, which has led to speculation about a possible return to the Blaugrana club.

The Samba star himself is reported to be keen on a return to the Catalan club as he wants to show that he is once again back at his best level and also to improve his chances of playing in the World Cup next year.

However, Barcelona are not too keen to get him back, and at the moment, are not even considering a move for him in the coming summer.

In such a scenario, Mundo Deportivo reports that the Blaugrana head coach, Hansi Flick, was also asked about Neymar’s potential return to his team as he addressed a press conference ahead of the UCL match against Benfica.

The German coach was quite forceful with his answer, even though he did not provide any clues about his feelings on this matter:

“This is not my job. I’m fully focused on this team until the end of the season. We have great opportunities, and we want to seize them all. So we need to stay focused, and that includes me as a coach. This is the responsibility of other people at the club, not mine.”

It is good to know that Flick is currently focusing all his attentions on this team’s performances, especially as the season has entered a pivotal stretch.

However, there have been reports that the coaching staff is not too keen on Neymar’s return, especially keeping in view their emphasis on youth and intensity, and as the German coach did not clearly answer this question, speculation about his approach to this move will remain rife for the coming days.
