Harry Kane's Bayern Munich contract includes a series of release clauses, a report in Germany has claimed.
Bayern have historically done their best to avoid agreeing to release clauses in contract negotiations but the issue has been brought to light recently by midfielder Jamal Musiala, who is said to be demanding an exit clause of €175m (£145.4m) to extend his stay in Munich.
Investigating the issue, SPORT BILD state Kane's contract actually includes release clauses which allow him to keep his options open.
A crucial detail with these clauses is that Kane must trigger one during a winter transfer window in order to facilitate a summer exit - something he did not do in January. Had Kane signalled a plan to leave, he would have been available this summer for €80m (£66.5m).
In January 2026, Kane will once again have the chance to trigger another clause, this time in anticipation of an exit which would cost any interested side €65m (£54m).
In the summer of 2026, Kane will celebrate his 33rd birthday and will also enter the final 12 months of his current contract.
It is stressed that Kane has not even considered looking for a move away from Bayern since he arrived. The former Tottenham Hotspur striker is happy at the club and has settled well in Germany with his family.
Kane is on track to end his long wait for a trophy this season, with Bayern currently six points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table.
