The Premier League has been home to some unbelievable wingers over the years, but arguably one of the finest to have played in the league in the modern generation is South Korea captain Son Heung-min who plays for Tottenham Hotspur.
Son has been in the Premier League since 2015 and gone on to establish himself as one of the very best of his generation, alongside the likes of Mohamed Salah and Eden Hazard. The Spurs captain is still going strong at the N17, despite some indifferent form this season.
One of the most likeable characters going around in football, speaking to GOAL, Son Heung-min has taken the opportunity to offer some huge words of praise for Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal who is taking the football world by storm.
“He is unbelievable. Don’t get me wrong. At this age, the way he performs, he is incredible. I’m enjoying every bit of it. It’s a good thing that he is so young and he still has so much room to improve. So, in the next couple of years he will be top, number one.”

Who doesn’t enjoy watching Lamine play? Against Benfica midweek in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 clash, the Spaniard put on a show by providing an assist and scoring a sublime goal, both of which are highlight-reel worthy.
At the tender age of 17, he is already ranking among the very best in the world in many metrics that define a winger. We at BNN analyzed why, despite being an extremely successful dribbler, what makes Lamine stand out is much more than just that.
Lamine has formed an incredible partnership with Raphinha who occupies the other flank at Barcelona. The duo have scored and assisted each other on so many occasions this season and are dominating the proceedings in La Liga.
Despite not yet being legally allowed to drive in Barcelona, Lamine has already been driving opposition defenders crazy with his performances on the right flank and has often let onlookers gape in disbelief at the sheer skill that he possesses.
Just like Son Heung-min calls it, Lamine has a huge future in the game and he is bound to become the best in the world in his position if he already isn’t. Let’s wait and see how his career at Barcelona plays out going forward.
