Midfielders Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Roberto Gagliardini were the two Inter players who were not quite up to par in yesterday evening’s Champions League win over Viktoria Plzen.
This is the view of today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who give each of the pair 5.5/10 scores for their displays in the player ratings for the 2-0 victory, the only below-par grades among the Nerazzurri’s team.
Mkhitaryan was entrusted with the start against Plzen, having also impressed in outings against Bayern Munich from the start and then Torino from the bench, but the 33-year-old couldn’t quite impact the game as he had in those matches.
Meanwhile, Gagliardini was one of the second-half substitutes who came on to see the game out, with the 28-year-old entering the pitch when his team were already 2-0 up.
The former Atalanta man looked a bit sloppy and lowered the technical level of the team in midfield, whilst he also got himself into the book.
