‘He’s back’ – Barcelona fans call for one player to receive more playing time next season | OneFootball

Supporters of La Liga giants Barcelona have on Sunday evening moved to make clear their appreciation for the efforts of one particular member of the club’s midfield.

The player in question? Gavi.

Barcelona are of course currently locked in action, in the Basque Country.

In the final outing of what has been a hugely productive campaign, Hansi Flick’s troops have made the trip to San Mamés, for a La Liga meeting with Athletic Club.

The aforementioned Gavi, meanwhile, was afforded his latest starting berth for the clash, joining Pedri in a two-man pivot for the evening’s visitors.

And safe to say, the 20-year-old has since gone on to thoroughly impress with his performance…

Looking back to his brilliant best, Gavi has excelled on both sides of the ball, full of bite and intent in the tackle, and smooth and silky with his touch and passing.

And such excellence has not gone at all unnoticed on the part of the Barca faithful…

Many, in fact, have already gone as far as to call for their side’s midfield starlet to see an uptick in playing time in 2025/26:
