To survive at the top level, it is essential for teams to make the most of the opportunities that come their way - and, in terms of sheer ruthlessness, Nottingham Forest's Chris Wood has been the most lethal finisher in the Premier League this season.

Under Nuno Espirito Santo, Forest have enjoyed a fantastic campaign that sees them on the verge of a Champions League place on the eve of their high stakes encounter with Chelsea on the final matchweek of the 2024/25 campaign.

Wood's 20 goals have helped propel Forest to new heights this term and the New Zealand international has astonishingly converted nearly a third of the shots he has taken in the Premier League in 2024/25.

The 33-year-old striker has only taken 65 shots all season, but 20 of those (30.77%) have ended up in the onion bag to make him the most clinical player in the top tier (of those players to score 10+ goals).

Next on the list of 'conversion specialists' is Wolves' forward Jorgen Strand Larsen, 24.53% of whose shots have hit the net.

Newcastle's Alexander Isak (23.96%), Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo (22.89%) and the division's top scorer Mo Salah (22.05%) complete the list of the 'Top 5' most ruthless finishers in the Premier League this season.
