Our Red Bulls have their second home encounter within a few autumn days on the schedule. The first half of the regular season is over - at least in theory, with two games in hand to make up in December - and we are ready for the 12th matchday of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga against GAK. We opened the Austrian Bundesliga season at the start of August with an entertaining 3-2 away win against the newly promoted side.
A few things have changed since then, most notably in the dugout at the Graz outfit still searching for their first win. Gernot Messner, who led the red and whites into the top flight, was recently dismissed. His successor Rene Poms started well with a solid 1-1 draw against Rapid Vienna in the league before a disappointing cup exit at the hands of second tier SW Bregenz!
Our boys have been able to bank important confidence with a 3-0 ÖFB Cup win against WSG Tirol - and another home win would give us vital confidence for the upcoming UEFA Champions League week. Three more points in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga remain the priority though!

The good cup match against WST Tirol did us all a lot of good, especially with the way we played in the second half, in particular. I could definitely sleep a lot better [laughs]. The boys deserved the win, and it should help us on Saturday. GAK are playing a very similar system to previously under their new coach, even if their matches against Rapid Vienna and Bregenz went very differently. A new coach always brings a bit of new energy. We have to recover well, analyse the opponents precisely and go into the match fully prepared.

Yesterday's win was incredibly important for our confidence, and we are glad to have it. Things have not come so easily to us at the moment, we have had to work very hard for everything. The answer to our aims on Saturday is easy - we want to get three points. We want to use the momentum, put in a determined performance as a team and win again.
