How Mohamed Salah reacted after finding out Jurgen Klopp was leaving Liverpool | OneFootball

Jurgen Klopp shocked the football world after announcing his departure from Liverpool last season.

The German manager is one of the most successful managers in the history of the club, having won the Premier League and the Champions League title for them.

Klopp has not only given them success but he has managed to do that with a limited budget.

The German manager had to fight against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side and he managed to beat them to a league title.

Having taken over the club in 2015 when they were struggling big time, Klopp turned around their fortunes and made them a world class team.

Alexis Mac Allister has opened up on what happened behind the scenes when the former Liverpool boss announced that he will be leaving Anfield.

Speaking to the La Media Inglesa YouTube channel, the midfielder admitted how Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah reacted about the Klopp news.

“It was a huge shock, nobody expected it and we found out maybe five or 10 minutes before you all did,” he said.

“Because normally, for example like today, we arrive at 10:30, usually have breakfast, do our things, and on that day when we arrived they said “10:30 meeting,” and I thought that was strange.

“I arrived at the training centre and I was next to Salah, so I asked him, “Why the meeting? What happened?” And he tells me “The manager is leaving.”

“I said “What? The manager is leaving?” “Yes, the manager is leaving.” I said “No, it can’t be,” and he started laughing.

“I thought, is this true or is Salah just messing with me? What’s happening? “And well, then the manager came in and told us he was going to leave at the end of the season.”

Klopp made Salah one of the best players in the world and the Reds are still reaping the rewards of that.

The Premier League giants are currently leading the title race and thanks to Salah, they are the favourites to win that.

The Egyptian attacker is the top goal scorer and the top assister in the league and he seems unstoppable at the moment.

While Klopp’s departure was a huge shock for the players and the fans, the club have been able to get the ideal replacement of him in Arne Slot.
