The Hungary FA have confirmed national team coach Ádám Szalai is stable in hospital after falling ill in the first-half of their Nations League game with the Netherlands.
Minutes into the game, the referee stopped it due to Szalai reportedly collapsing on the Hungarian bench. Medical staff quickly attended to him, before he was taken in an ambulance to a nearby hospital.
Szalai is a national icon, having played 86 times and scored 26 goals for his country over a 13-year spell between 2009 and 2022, before joining the coaching staff.
