Borussia Dortmund eased past Phönix Lübeck and into the next round of DFB-Pokal thanks to contributions from several of their new additions.
It took just three minutes for Nuri Şahin's fresh faces to endear themselves to the Dortmund fans, as Pascal Groß's corner was met by Waldemar Anton to hand the Black and Yellow the lead.
Just after the half hour they were offered the perfect opportunity to double their lead when Kevin Ntika gave away a penalty, which Emre Can duly stepped up and converted.
The game was effectively put to bed on the stroke of half time when Julian Brandt ran onto a pass from Groß to add a third for Dortmund, leaving Lübeck with a mountain to climb.
But they did pull one goal back just before the hour mark, when Obinna Iloka caught Brandt in possession 20 yards from goal, before running through the Dortmund defence and poking past Gregor Kobel.
Their hopes of a comeback were swiftly dashed though as teenager Julien Duranville restored Dortmund's three goal advantage seven minutes later after being put through by another debutant in the shape of Yan Couto.
From that point, it was plain sailing for Şahin's side, who saw out the rest of the game without any more scares, and booked their place in the second round of the competition.
