Bayern Munich took on Ulm in the first round of the DFB-Pokal on Friday evening.
Here’s what happened.
Scorers: Müller 12′, 14′, Coman 80′, Kane 90+3′
Bayern Munich delivered a comfortable 4-0 win over Ulm in the first round of the DFB-Pokal on Friday.
Veteran Thomas Müller tapped home after just 15 minutes, making it the 16th consecutive season the legendary striker has found the back of the net for his side.
Two minutes later and a second long ball over the top in quick succession was not dealt with by Ulm, and this time Serge Gnabry delivered the assist for another simple Müller finish.
It had seemed like the goals had dried up after that early flurry, but debutant Michael Olise soon started to make things happen after his introduction.
No sooner had Olise come on, he had supplied a square pass to Kingsley Coman – the latter the subject of recent transfer rumours – to deliver the finish with ten minutes remaining.
And of course, the evening wouldn’t have been complete without a goal from Harry Kane, as the English striker netted the fourth with almost the last kick of the game.
The second round of the competition will take place between at the end of October.
