Inter face strong competition from Real Betis for Granada goalkeeper Rui Silva, according to an Italian media report today.
As per PassioneInter.com, the La Liga side are serious about signing the Portuguese shot-stopper and have already made contact with Silva’s representatives over a move to the Estadio Benito Villamarín.
Inter chief executive Beppe Marotta has shown an interest in Silva, whose contract with Granada expires at the end of the season and therefore makes him available for a free transfer this summer.
Talks between Betis and Granada are ongoing but no deal has been agreed yet.
PassioneInter’s report tallies with a separate story from Corriere dello Sport this morning, which claimed Inter were working on bringing in Silva as a back-up option to Samir Handanovic, albeit he could become first choice should he impress upon his arrival.
Silva, who turned 27 yesterday, joined Granada in the summer of 2017 and has made 29 appearances across all competitions this season, in which he has kept 11 clean sheets.
Diego Martinez’s side are due to face Napoli in the last 32 of the UEFA Europa League later this month.
