Kristjan Asllani says that the Champions League is “massively important” for Inter Milan, as they turn their attention to PSG.

The Albanian international spoke to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, after yesterday’s Serie A win over Como. He also reflected on Inter’s failure in the Serie A title race.

The Champions League final is now just one week away for Inter Milan.

The Nerazzurri’s Serie A campaign has come to an end. And so now, they have just one more match to go before the season is over.

However, it is the most important match of the lot.

Inter take on Paris Saint-Germain in European club football’s most glamorous match at the end of May.

It will be a season-defining match for both teams.

For Inter, they will look to make up for the heartbreak of losing to Manchester City two years ago. And go all the way after a season that included memorable wins over Arsenal, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona.

Meanwhile, PSG are hoping to win European club football’s biggest prize for the very first time.

Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani admitted that “there’s definitely anger and disappointment” after the failure to win the Serie A title on the final day.

“But we know that we have to recharge our batteries,” the 23-year-old continued.

“When we get back to training, we have to go harder than ever,” said Asllani.

“We have to only have our minds on PSG. And bring home the trophy, because it’s massively important for us.”

“And we deserve it, based on the path we’ve been on this season.”

Asllani continued by saying that “we’ve played serious matches.”

“Even in the last few we’ve played. Us players who haven’t gotten as much playing time, we’ve been ready.”

“But that’s not important now,” Kristjan Asllani added.
