While there is no doubt that the FFP problems of FC Barcelona have kept them from operating at their desired level in the transfer market, this situation has also proved to be beneficial to the club’s youth, as a lot of players trained at La Masia are playing regularly with the first team.
In fact, some of these players have gone on to become crucial parts of Hansi Flick’s team. Lamine Yamal is the clearest of these cases, while other players like Pau Cubarsi and Alejandro Balde are also key parts of this Blaugrana team.
Meanwhile, the midfielder Fermin Lopez has also shown himself to be a very useful contributor to Barcelona, even though he is not yet a fixed starter. Still, the Spaniard has shown great signs of growth and development in the last two years, and this season, he has accumulated 8 goals and 9 assists in 45 games.
His contract with the Catalan side now goes till 2029, after the renewal he signed last October. However, his good performances have naturally put him in the sights of other top clubs across Europe.

According to Mundo Deportivo, one such club interested in Fermin is the Italian side Inter Milan. The Nerazzurri are looking for a replacement for the midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who is already 36 years of age and whose contract is running out next year, and the Barcelona starlet meets their criteria.
The midfielder had played in both legs of the semi-final tie against Inter Milan, so the Italians know of his talents first hand.
There are no negotiations between the two sides currently underway for Fermin Lopez, but the Nerazzurri will still consider his signing at the end of this season.
This is particularly the case as the Milan side is currently engaged in an intense fight with Napoli for the Serie A title, with only 1 point separating the two sides with only 1 game left to play. Furthermore, they also have the UEFA Champions League final to play, where they will face Paris Saint Germain.
