Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi sees the Champions League semi-final tie against Barcelona as a perfect chance for redemption.
Speaking to InterTV via FCInterNews, the 49-year-old admitted the Nerazzurri have had a ‘tough week.’
Unfortunately, Inter’s treble dream fell apart in seven days.
Indeed, AC Milan stunned the Nerazzurri 3-0 in the second leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final tussle.
Then, Roma eked out a 1-0 win at Giuseppe Meazza over the weekend.
Meanwhile, Napoli took advantage of Inter’s slip-up to build a three-point lead at the top of the Serie A table.
Therefore, the reigning Scudetto holders head into this European blockbuster bereft of confidence.
However, this could be an ideal opportunity for Inter to get back on track, even though the task ahead is nothing short of Herculean.
Unlike the Italians, Barcelona are on cloud nine after beating Real Madrid to Copa del Rey glory on Saturday.

Simone Inzaghi offered his assessment of Inter’s performances in recent matches.
“We’re coming off a tough week that we’ve analyzed,” Inzaghi claimed. “We know we needed to do better.
“However, we come into this match trying to play at our best against, probably, the most attractive team in Europe at the moment.
“But we want to play a match worthy of the great Inter.”
Though history favors Barcelona in this match-up, Inzaghi believes a collective effort could help Inter defy the odds.
“We know they are a team geared toward attacking,” he added. “They keep possession and press very well.
“We’ll have to work well together, trying to keep the ball when the time is right and suffer together when it’s necessary.”
