Inter Milan wingback Nicola Zalewski has received a call-up from Poland manager Michal Probierz for upcoming international fixtures in March.

According to FCInterNews, the 23-year-old should join his national team despite struggling with injury.

Nicola Zalewski enjoyed a dream debut for Inter after completing his loan arrival from Roma toward the end of January.

Indeed, he assisted Stefan de Vrij for a late equalizer in a 1-1 draw against eternal rivals AC Milan in February.

However, he has since spent more time on the treatment table than contributing on the field.

Simone Inzaghi won’t have Zalewski at his disposal for tomorrow’s pivotal Serie A clash against Atalanta.

But the youngster has ‘strangely’ found himself on Probierz’s list for March’s internationals.

Indeed, Poland will take on Malta and Lithuania at the start of their 2-28 World Cup qualifying campaign.

Zalewski could join forces with his clubmate, Piotr Zielinski, during a two-week hiatus from club football.

However, it remains questionable whether he’ll be fit to play.
