Inter are still working out the final details of the double deal with Independiente Rivadavia and Talleres for Tomas Palacios, raising the guaranteed fee.
The defender flew in for his medical tests this week, but the signature on the contract is still not there.
According to Calciomercato.it, there are a few tweaks to the format of the transfer, which remains an overall package of €11m.
The difference is that the guaranteed fee will rise from €6m to €7m, with the rest in performance-related bonuses and add-ons.
It is a complex situation because the player is effectively co-owned between Independiente Rivadavia and Talleres, so both clubs had to be involved in every step of the process.
Palacios is a very tall, ball-playing central defender who is left-footed, fitting the profile of player that Simone Inzaghi wanted to strengthen his Inter squad.
The centre-back turned 21 in April and came up through the Talleres youth academy, but joined Independiente Rivadavia on loan with an option to buy in January.
