Inter Talisman Opens Up on Emotional Encounter Against Parma | OneFootball

Inter superstar Marcus Thuram addressed the media after scoring in Friday’s comfortable 3-1 Serie A triumph against Parma. The defending Serie A champions ran riot at Giuseppe Meazza to further their case in an intense title race.

“Parma is a special club for my family because I was born there, so it is a bit odd playing against them,” the Inter talisman said, as reported by FCInterNews. “I think when I play in Parma, it’ll be even more emotional. I am happy to have played and scored today.“

Thuram ran off to Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi to celebrate his tenth Serie A goal this season. Inzaghi is on the verge of transforming the French star from a winger into one of Europe’s most prolific center-forwards. However, that’s still a work in progress.

“The coach worked with Ciro Immobile at Lazio, who scored a lot of goals like that. I often take that position, but I also just as often forget! I did it properly this time,” Thuram admitted. “I started this role at Inter and I am improving.

“But have a lot that still needs to be done better. I am trying to learn all I can from Lautaro Martinez and Marko Arnautovic.“
