The whole world saw it, the whole world was watching San Siro. The events in the Champions League semi-final will stick with people for many years. Yes, it is "just" a semi-final, there's still a way to go until the final, but the story of the two legs against Barcelona caused reactions from everyone, not just Inter fans. National and international media outlets highlighted the character of the Inter players who, after the 3-3 draw against Barcelona, wrote another page in the UEFA Champions League history books.

There were lots of themes to cover: Lautaro Martinez, who recovered in time, scored and won the penalty to make it 2-0. Francesco Acerbi: first Champions League goal at 37 years of age, with a brilliant strike and perfect display at the back. Frattesi, with his important goals, his celebration on the yellow gate at San Siro, an incredible story. And, Sommer: the performer of some memorable, incredible and decisive saves.

THE ITALIAN PRESS

Interstellar, Legendary: the Italian newspapers celebrated the Inter win highlighting the strength of Inzaghi's side. The Corriere dello Sport chose for a play on words combining Yamal and Amala, one of Inter's historic mottos. Infinite, for the QS, and in effect Inter fully recovered after going 2-3 down, through Acerbi's equaliser and the winner in extra-time.

The press also highlighted Lautaro's display as Captain despite his injury in the first leg as well as other key players like Sommer, Acerbi and Frattesi.

THE SPANISH PRESS

The Spanish Press obviously had a different tone, as they commented on Barcelona's missed chance. Minutres from the final in Munich: this sums up how painful it was for the Blaugrana, who dreamt of going through after advancing. "An epic goodbye", "Proud of this team".

AROUND THE WORLD

For the French outlet "Le Figaro" spoke about a "legendary clash". The Argnetine press highlighted Lautaro Martinez's display: "The Internaut", showing how he played epically as a hero and scored despite his injury days before. The Guardian labelled Inter's win "Incredible".
