Simone Inzaghi warns they need ‘the real Inter’ for this trip to Cagliari and cannot afford to be distracted by the Supercoppa Italiana.
It kicks off at the Unipol Domus Arena at 17.00 GMT.
The Nerazzurri are three points off leaders Atalanta, but also have a game in hand to be played against Fiorentina, although due to a packed fixture list that won’t be until at least February.

“We had five days off without a game, tried to celebrate Christmas with our families, now we have De Vrij back, but otherwise it’s the same squad I had against Como,” Inzaghi told DAZN.
Stefan de Vrij returns to the starting XI, but the defence is still weakened by the absence of Matteo Darmian, Francesco Acerbi and Benjamin Pavard.
“We know the Supercoppa is very important, but our only thought right now has to be Cagliari,” insisted Inzaghi.
“They are coming off three consecutive defeats, but they were all good performances showing tactical organisation. We need to see the real Inter today.”
They are already preparing to fly out to Saudi Arabia for the Supercoppa Italiana, where they fact Atalanta on January 2 and then potentially the Final against either Juventus or Milan.
“A strong start is essential, we’ve been coming here for many years and know how much of an atmosphere the Cagliari fans provide. We have to start stronger than in recent matches and keep improving.”
