The Republic of Ireland have scored their first ever goal at a Women’s World Cup.
And it’s come straight from a corner.
It took just four minutes for the Girls in Green to take the lead against Canada – the fastest a goal has been scored at this tournament.
And it was captain Katie McCabe who curled a corner in from the right and watched as it sailed over the head of Canada goalkeeper Kailen Sheridan.
A historic strike for the Irish.
