Inter Milan take on Napoli at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona this evening.

And there is already the feel of a potential title-decider to this evening’s match.

The Nerazzurri are just one point ahead of the Partenopei at the start of the match.

Meanwhile, Atalanta’s surprise draw against Venezia today means that today’s match is even more of an opportunity for either Inter or Milan to give themselves a big boost in the title race.

Napoli have always been a team who can rely upon the passionate support from their home crowd. And that can further mean that it is intimidating to play against the Partenopei.

That is all the more the case in matches of the importance of this evening’s.

However, Inter are used to playing in circumstances.

Both in Serie A and also in the Champions League, this Inter team have faced some of the toughest and most intimidating away fixtures.

Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni commented that “We’re in a very hot atmosphere here.”

“But we live for these matches,” the 25-year-old declared.

“I believe that we’ve lacked consistency in the previous big matches. Because across the ninety minutes in Turin [against Juventus] we had a great first half, while we struggled more in the second.”

Bastoni – We Need More Consistency

“We’ll try to have more consistency,” Bastoni made clear.

Meanwhile, Bastoni gave his thoughts on the battle between himself and Federico Dimarco on one side, and Giovanni Di Lorenzo and Matteo Politano on the other.

“Their understanding is one of their strong points,” the Inter defender said.

“We’ll have to take care with the spacing between us. We have to stay compact.”

“We’ll have to stay switched-on and united,” Alessandro Bastoni said.

Then, to InterTV, via FCInterNews, Bastoni commented that “It will certainly be a balanced match.”

“So far this season in big matches we haven’t made the difference. So the time has come to do that.”

“As I always say, both the defensive and attacking phases have to be done as a team,” Bastoni made clear. We’re very motivated and determined,” he continued.

Bastoni predicted that today’s match will be “important, but not decisive.”
