Italy stepped up their Euro 2024 preparations with a 2-0 win over Ecuador.
Scorers: Pellegrini 3′, Barella 90+4′
Lorenzo Pellegrini scored the only goal of the game early on with a first-time strike after Federico Dimarco’s initial free kick rebounded to him outside the area.
The Azzurri sealed a comfortable victory deep into added time at New Jersey’s Red Bull Arena when Nicolò Barella chipped in from Riccardo Orsolini’s reverse pass.
Luciano Spalletti’s side are next in action in June’s international break, when they host Turkey and Bosnia & Herzegovina before defending their European crown.
