San Diego FC continue to build out their roster and have signed three more players for year one. First, San Diego FC has traded $100,000 in GAM, potential for another $250,000 in GAM if certain incentives are hit,  a sell on %, and a trade on % to the Philadelphia Union for Union academy product striker Anisse Saidi. Saidi is a 16 year old current Tunisia and U.S. youth international. Last season he made his professional debut as he played 17 minutes for the Union II in MLS Next Pro. He currently looks like he is slotting in as the third striker on their depth chart. The talented teenager has been highly praised in the Union’s academy and I think it won’t be too long before we see him get some minutes for San Diego’s first team.

San Diego made a second trade and acquired 30 year old winger Emmanuel Boateng from the New England Revolution for $200,000 in GAM. The MLS veteran joins San Diego and a familiar organization with The Right To Dream Academy, an organization that owns San Diego and where Boateng began his career in Africa. The former MLS Cup and Supporters Shield winner should play a huge role as a depth piece for the expansion side. Last season, Boateng played just under 1,000 minutes for New England with 2 goals and 2 assists.

Lastly, San Diego FC has signed leftback Franco Negri after selecting him in the MLS Re-Entry Draft. The 29 year old joined Inter Miami ahead of the 2023 MLS season and would go on to win a Supporters Shield with them in 2024. The Argentine had 2 goals and 3 assists in about 2,500 minutes played for the club. Negri is a big talent, unfortunately just a player who got caught up in the arrival of Jordi Alba and some injuries.
