FC Metz have announced the signing of Brazilian former Monaco central defender Jemerson until June 2022.

Jemerson will return to do his thing in Ligue 1 Uber Eats... a league full of good memories for the Brazilian. An AS Monaco player from 2016 to 2020, his time in the Principality was punctuated by winning the 2016-17 Ligue 1 Uber Eats title and a Champions League run that ended in the semi-finals against Juventus.

Jemerson turned in many notable performances alongside Kamil Glik in the centre of the defence, racking up 175 appearances for the principality club and earning call-ups to the Brazil national team before heading back to his homeland for an adventure with SC Corinthians in November 2020. So it is with plenty of experience and maturity that free agent Jemerson arrives at FC Metz to shore up the defence for the next nine months.
