Jordan Veretout undergoing medical ahead of Lyon move | OneFootball

According to a report from Foot Mercato, Jordan Veretout (31) is undergoing his medical ahead of his “joker” transfer from Olympique de Marseille to Olympique Lyonnais.

Marseille had placed an €8 million asking price on the France international but eventually accepted a Lyon offer of €4 million with an additional €1 million guaranteed, and bonuses that could reach €2 million. Furthermore, Les Phocéens ensured that they would also have a 25% sell-on fee if Lyon were to move on from the midfielder.

OM have been depserate to offload Veretout, who does not feature in Roberto De Zerbi’s plans. It was made clear at the beginning of the summer that he would play no part at Marseille this summer, however, finding an exit point proved difficult. In the meantime, he was placed in the “loft” alongside players such as Chancel Mbemba and Azzedine Ounahi. The latter has also secured a move away from OM, joining Panathinaïkos.

Foot Mercato understands that Veretout is now closing in on a move with OL. He is currently undergoing his medical ahead of the completion of the transfer.
