Jorge Mendes pushes name of AC Milan star during meeting with Barcelona | OneFootball

Super agent Jorge Mendes was quick to bring the name of AC Milan star Rafael Leão back to the fore, during a meeting with Barcelona this week.

That’s according to Blaugrana insider Gerard Romero of Jijantes, who has on Thursday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

Agent Mendes made the trip to Barcelona earlier this week, with several topics on the agenda.

Chief amongst them was the contract renewal of Lamine Yamal, who went on to commit his future to Hansi Flick’s side through the summer of 2031.

Also discussed, though, was the ongoing search for reinforcements out wide at the Camp Nou.

It is of course common knowledge at this point that Deco and the Barca brass are searching for a new winger for the club for next season.

During their recent sit down, the aforementioned Jorge Mendes therefore recommended one of his clients.

After the Blaugrana were heavily linked with a move for the Portuguese international last summer, the super agent highlighted the name of AC Milan standout Rafael Leão once more.

It now remains to be seen if as much culminates in renewed Barcelona interest in the 25-year-old.
